You can download CMRecorder. It is freeware and it works really well. It does everything the more expensive recorders do but without having to pay and it's a little clunky, but you can record audio/video in HD.
And to apaulogy, you might want to look into the soundtrack of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It is co-done by Trent Reznor. Only 1 song has been released, but it sounds really good so far.
That build I played in the 2 mans, was not the build I wanted to play. I had taken out 1 of each of the 1 mana hexproof guys, as I agree with you that they are not that good on their own.
I also added in 2 more snake umbra, going up to 4. The deck has become a tiny bit better with that. Thank you for your comments though. I will do some testing with what you suggested.
Pentarch Ward may help just for the additional draw. It's more powerful in classic, but still useful in pauper. Savage Silhouette would help out a ton. I would toss in a Rhox Meditant, or Kavu Climber, just anything to increase your ability to draw the cloak, since that's your typical win condition and they are also semi-big themselves. I would also get rid of some of the 1/1 hex proofers. 4 scouts and 4 bogles are a little too excessive, but are not any real threat in themselves. Steward of Valeron may be better than the monk. I'm not sure, something you may wish to experiment with.
sure, I want feedback both on what I did well and what I need to improve. In the first one I did try adding something (look it up) but no one was interested so I'll have to think of something else.
I actually want to play this deck. It looks like a lot of fun and seems like it would do decent in the dailies.
One thing about the writing. I realize this is a tournament report, which I prefer sometimes. But throw something else in there. Like Rick Longo does a really good job of making videos, but he just next leveled this week by putting in a little tid bit of himself (and a cute pic of when he was a wee lad). People connect to this type of stuff.
Just honest feedback and not senseless trolling/whining.
I think I was being hyperbolic about SFM (she is stupid good though), but I stand by my assessment of the colors...I just do not like green as a color though and I admit my subjectivity in this assessment. Also I like red.
The main reason why I enjoy your videos is because it really seems like you are having fun. We all want to win, but you are able to compete while keeping everything lighthearted for us viewers. We all take bad beats, and we all struggle at times; but I haven't heard one negative thing from you. Too many draft videos online are filled with constant complaining, whining, cursing, and other unflattering behavior from top pros, and amatuers alike. Thank you Ricardo for rising above the nonsense. Just enjoy what you do, and I will keep enjoying watching you play.
I always start the match with "Hello and Good Luck".
I think I never netdecked... I usually get ideas to decks from articles like yours but never build them exactly.
I also say that every game, regardless of what I'm playing. And while I don't "netdeck", I'm reasonably sure several of my decks are similar enough to published decks, but oh well! And I KNOW I don't have any "Pro Tour caliber decks" (yet!). So not EVERY utterance of those words are a trap...
You know I am actually good for posts. I bring up something and the commentary lights up like a firecracker. I am more charismatic than any GOP presidential candidates at the moment.
Hell, get my on your post and it will get thousands of hits. I am the JJ Abrahams of PureMTGO, haha.
I don't like arguments, I wasn't being personal (except towards whiffy because of what he said "blood sweat and tears in Magic? Seriously bro?), I was just putting up my opinion. It was when people got personal with me that I didn't take that kindly.
Btw, has anyone noticed that with the new update Wizards has locked people out of making their own game-mats. I used to have Lindsey Lohan and then when I went on a losing streak switched to Scarlett Johannson. Does anyone know a way around that?
How could I forget Ronaldinho? His Nike commercials where he was doing tricks was insane.
Either way I have absolutely no respect for the Spanish players. The South American players get hit and get up. The Pu$$ies like Christiano Ronaldo actually said that he had to leave the EPL because it was too rough and when you touch someone in La Ligua or Seria A, they fall to the ground like they were just shot by a Desert Eagle in the face. Haha.
I'd argue that the 1 and 2 cost mana acceleration has always been important to the game. On occasion, green's recursion effects have been used heavily as well, from Regrowth, Genesis, and even Restock.
Back in the day Green was also pretty much the only color that got decent midrange guys. Erhnam was amazing. Also, when green lifegain gets used, it is usually part of a creature (like ravenous baloth) and is thus more useful than white's.
srictly from a vintage/classic stand point.
Restricted by color Vintage:
U: •Ancestral Recall •Brainstorm •Flash •Merchant Scroll •Mind’s Desire •Mystical Tutor
•Ponder •Thirst for Knowledge •Time Walk •Timetwister •Tinker •Windfall
B: •Demonic Consultation •Demonic Tutor •Imperial Seal •Necropotence •Vampiric Tutor
•Yawgmoth’s Bargain •Yawgmoth’s Will
G: •Channel •Fastbond •Regrowth
R: •Wheel of Fortune •Burning Wish
W: •Balance
And stoneforge tho very good is not the second best strictly from the viewpoint of the most open type that allows u to use every type of tutor. Not saying in other formats where the broken tutors arent played its not insane and maybe the best tutor but saying 2nd best ever when compared to all the restricted tutors and the kinda a tutor of wish and gifts.....t
Green is the stone worst, with white as a close second. The reason I think white gets better is because of things StP and Path for removal and that white probably boasts the second most broken tutor in the game: Stoneforge Mystic...I still have aversion to playing white based on this opinion, but I wouldn't even play Green at all if Tarmogoyf weren't so awesome.
Here are my color ranks in order from first to last. U, B, R, W, G.
This is my opinion based on cards that I like to play, and not necessarily any reflection of anything outside my own reality.
@- Seb & Keya- while red is the most linear color, when it violates the color pie you would feel it. There is a reason that Red can't deal with enchantments. You guys will see how awful red can be when Faithless Looting is printed (doom prophecy). I realize it is a filter, but it will help eliminate land pockets and fill your hand with more burn spells. Red seems weak in the abstract, but it is the only color that doesn't really ever care about what you are doing just cause it will kill you between turns 3-5 in a goldfish.
With all of this talk of Mono Color decks being successful, I believe that MonoR is up there...It seems to me as if it is the only color that doesn't really need to splash in most formats.
In that case, in all honesty, you should change the name of the article. If you are not playing at FNM regularly, you probably shouldn't be writing an article about decks for FNMs. If you're not actually taking these decks from the casual room (well Just for Fun room...) to FNMs it's a little disingenuous. That said, I still like the articles and find them more interesting than the official Building on a Budget articles.
As a gold mage (I love all the colors in tandem) Id say gold is the weakest least supported color historically. That said obviously some of the most broken cards have been gold so I understand that my argument is a little weakened by that.
In all seriousness Id say each color has great weaknesses at times. WOTC seems to cycle through the colors. There have been times when each color has been the worst. EVEN BLUE. Though I'd say overall Blue suffers the least.
Currently green has great creatures (Primeval titan, Dungrove Elder, Thrun, etc), decent removal (Beast within, etc) and some fun tricks too. Red has the usual assortment of burn and burn/creatures without anything truly broken. (Blasphemous Act might get there some day.) Black has tons of removal, some good creatures and lots of fun tricks. White has...well some of the most broken creatures around (Hero, crusader, etc), removal and tricks. Blue lacks only in its main strength: Counterspells. And Dissipate surely makes up for that lack.
As much as I deplore the invention of planeswalkers in general I think they have been given a lot of thought in terms of balance and are helping to bouy up all the colors. Each color has a useful pw and some method of removal of them (except black which must rely on artifact removal or splash for another color.)
i understand the results of ww and uw have been historically good, but lets be honest, in the uw decks, u was the reason they were at the top of the heap. sure their are small parts where white was the default choice, but pairing b with u has yielded as many similar runs of success.
if you look at mono color decks, then green is probably the worst color followed by blue in historical tournament placement. it might even be that mono blue has less dominance then mono green.
like you said its a good question, because there is no right or wrong answer.
given a look at the entire card pool and a timeline of colors tournament dominance i see white as the worst followed by red. green black and blue have the most tricks at their disposal being able to do just about anything optimally without a 2nd color, as well as the majority of broken cards. in my opinion. white and red need to be mindless agro or dip into a 2ndery color to really stay on par with the other 3.

I love this series, keep them coming!
I usually start with a typed good luck or howdy. I get the most interaction from people with howdy for sure.

Another gem, sir.
And sweet pic.

The germ is 0/0 will turn to 6/6, so equipped will be 6/7
Isn't mortarpod 6/7?

an awsome article, as usual :)
