Not for "every cheap card." There are only a handful that are more expensive online. Force, LED, Vindicate, Daze, Null Rod, etc. But there are 10,000 cards that are cheaper online.
Re: getting into trouble... no one can see the alterations you make. All the card image files are on each individual person's computer and it retrieves and shows you those images. So if someone else has an alter, you can't see and vice versa. So, in short, there is no way for them to know what has been altered and no you won't get into trouble.
Goblin welder sounds like shaman but better for classic IMO... Just glad you didn't yell at me about the shaman:D. Keep up the good work man. Love the classic videos.
Hm... Well I guess I'll start altering some of my lands and hope for the best.
If I start using full boarder stuff like you do.. You think I will get in trouble?
Also... I don't know much about classic online compared to vintage irl... But since there aren't any moxes, isn't gorrilla shaman not worth it for the decklist you posted? For 0s it really only kills mana crypt... I can't think of many 1s besides sol ring and voltaic key, but as I said, I'm not to familiar with classic...
dictionary.reference.com will get you what you want to know. I adjusted the pronunciations' written description slightly to make them easier to understand.
Yeah, Magic has some reeeeeeeeally weird words appearing recently. Apparently they've hit the bottom of the barrel >.<
Anyone else wanna weigh in on this? I'm usually pretty good at pronunciation (though I do admit I fumble sometimes during live narration). These MTGO names are finally starting to catch me...
In R1G1 when its clear Cat Weasel got the nuts, might it have made more sense to scoop before playing any cards (so she doesnt know what deck you are playing to SB for) since she was almost certainly going to win anyway? You could have not played anything and waited to see what flavor of Oath she brought and then scooped and she wouldnt have known how to SB.
"Skaab Ruinator is in this deck, which may seem odd with Splinterfright needing creatures in the graveyard. It is strange, I'll admit, but I've grown to like it. Splinterfright is your Plan A, but sometimes plans don't go accordingly and they kill your Splinterfright and Wurms and you're left with a mostly empty hand and board. "
War of the Worlds was a parody written as a news piece too. And people committed suicide when they heard it. I hope you're satisfied with all the psychatog related suicides that are about to follow, jerk.
keep these video drafts coming. though i'm rarely online i draft paper regularly with good results. drafted inn for 1st time last week and got crushed. i could use the draft advice. thanks for the article/help.
I keep smiling everytime I read comments like this. Really, why do you keep comparing Modern to Legacy? Or to Extended or even to Overextended? Why in general, people keep comparing this format to almost all the formats out there?!
Modern is Modern and it's a unique format with its own unique dynamics. You may not like it and that's okay, but is it really that hard to understand or to accept that Modern is different? Modern doesn't have any of the power cards Legacy has, because if it had, then it would have been Legacy! In that sense, Standard doesn't have them too so why do people bother playing Standard?!
Modern isn't light-anything. If you want power then play Legacy. If that is not enough, play Classic. If those are too much and Standard is too slow and lacks some power, then Modern is the format. That simple.

PS: Oh and believe it or not, there are people who dislike Legacy because Blue is so powerful there and there are people who hate Blue in general. Incredible I know, but there are people who like to play Zoo or Affinity without being "slaughtered" by Force of Will or Jace or Daze or whatnot.
I tend to think of Modern as "Legacy Lite," also.
Ignorance? Nope. I think this way because Modern seems
like it's missing all the cards I would want to build with.
Does Modern have Force of Will? Brainstorm? Real duals? Wasteland?
Standstill?
Modern is kind of like a little brother.
He wants to be cool like big bro, but he's not there yet.
Great draft. I think you should have been trying to mill yourself a little more than you did (i.e. using Crows when you have no cards in hand, tapping Assistants even without something to cast). You can hit Ruinator and/or cards to exile for it, your flashback spells, targets for Snapcaster. It doesn't hurt your draws (work out the math if you don't believe me), and the only real downside is if you die from it, which never seemed likely in any of those matches. Hope to see some more content!
I must admit, I don't really like Tom that much after reading his comments on blue getting weaker. Blue only happens to be the strongest control/enabler color in any format, ever. And he says it's getting weaker? Is that why one-drop blue cards keep getting banned in a variety of formats? Seriously, Tom, blue doesn't ever need to be stronger than it already is. There's no way to stop it from winning all the tournaments other than banning Islands. I don't know of any player who enjoys facing down a control deck, either.
Interesting about the time stamps with yixlid jailer and snapcaster. I kind of like the use of surgical extraction though a little better. you can get more value with a snapcaster. and these decks are all about value.
at jace. I cut it from the origanal 4c list but played 2 in the bob caster list. I am still trying to find the right numbers. i will say that a late game top deck of jace is not quite as good as a late game fof. as you can just see so many cards. I guess as long as im dodging fish decks, jace is better then a 2nd fof.
also to just elaborate more on the flusterstorms, i like them because they force through all your big spells. a spell pierce, mana drain, misstep or a force of will wont stop a flusterstorm. Unfortunatly you need to get in a counter war over their permanents if you want to counter a jace or an oath or something. counter there thing, they counter, you flusterstorm.

your right about shamen, he didnt make it to my list or Naoto's. i did use goblin welder though, he shuts down spheres and blightsteel colossus.
I dont think ull get in trouble. there are a ton of people who alter there stuff, i show it off every week too, not in trouble as far as i know.

Otherwise, thanks for the kind words!
You sure that's not "Pair A Sail Een"?
your pronunciation is killing me!
Cathar: KATH-ahr
Rakish: REY-kish
Heron: HAIR-uhn
Paraselene: PAIR-uh-si-LEE-nee
Nonetheless, you narrate well. Keep it up.
Misposted the list. :(
Skaab Ruinator should be in there over Forbidden Alchemies. This might be why Forbidden Alchemy is trying to be a Creature.

No he isn't. I don't see a ruinator at all.
The consequences!
I was wanting to check the Tog prices on tcgplayer when I get home though to see if they spiked at all.

Thanks! I hope Erik, Mark and Tom don't mind TOO much.
Well played sir.

The 1 v. 1 Commander matches contain a glitch that the developers didn't think of- players draw on turn 0 just as they would in multiplayer.
