The cost of Alara drafts is 16 not 10 phantom points. It would be a really good way to accumulate phantom points if it was only 10 (which was my intention after I saw your article, haha).
I am happy that you haven't had Sprout Swarm countered. You have 6 counterspells to defend it, and I'm glad that you found that to be enough (that surprises me given that you will have other uses for those counters, but I am glad it has worked out in practice for you).
Regarding Duress, so what happens if you are on the draw, and the opponent casts a Duress and Swarm is in your opening hand. It is instant game over.
It seems so fragile.
I am not saying that the deck is not good or cannot win, but in my opinion you need to be a brave player because the deck can crumble to sand in a single instant.
If you’re getting a player error message, most of the time, the video should start working again in about 30 minutes. This error can happen due to a number of factors, such as issues with your Internet Service Provider (ISP), number of connected users or devices, your hardware and software configuration, your internet connection, or problems with the video itself.
They have insanely cool art imho. The costs (8) are all the same converted. The upkeeps are all the same converted (3). They are bigger nastier dragons than Shivan which was the benchmark for nasty creatures in the old days. And they all have some kind of ability, with Bolas being the meanest as a mind twist for your hand. Though Vaevictus with his firebreathing in 3 colors comes close.
I'll check it out. Are people still playing the regular oath decks or is this just outclassing those?
The thing I love about the eternal formats, is that I get to use the older stuff I can remember playing with and against.
For instance, although it's a very different deck, I remember the oath of druids decks that were huge the first time they were around. I faced three in a row one PTQ years ago.
The omnioath deck isn't a bad choice - it has multiple avenues to victory and can randomly t1 or t2 a win. The learning curve is pretty high though. You will quickly learn why misstep is banned! :)
I disagree. You pay actual money for tickets from the store. Those tickets are eventually used as entry into tournaments which have digital objects as prizes. Digital objects have only an inferred value, that is to say, what we will pay for them. Money is essentially the same, as it isn't backed in precious metals. However, nearly everyone in the world agrees on a value that money holds. Try telling someone who doesn't play MTGO that you'll repay a loan in digital tarmogoyfs. I don't think that would go over.
When more people are making purchases from the store, the company makes more money. Obviously, not everyone will buy their tickets from the store, but all of them will originate from the store.
what would you suggest for a deck if I was to get started? I have Legacy BUG Delver, Shardless, and Reanimator. I was thinking of an oath deck, because I have the Griselbrands. I have three show and tells too, so maybe that new omni oath deck wouldn't be too far off. Getting a set of power won't be easy (although I almost could have gotten a set with the tix I spent on 4 wastelands at the high price).

I am the bravest of all magic players.
It is a global enchantment that happens to target something when it enters play ala Oblivion Ring.
@Kanji
I think an aura would have to be targeted when cast. Without a target, the aura fails.
On the draw if you get Swarm in your 7, mulligan.
Yeah, that would have been a really great combination in Modern. Hopefully they will be good enough to find their own way into a current deck.
@ JXClaytor,

Birthing Pod into Origins walkers might have been a little bit sick.
Duress and other discard we can protect it with Brainstorm.
Um. Countered?
I've not had it happen yet. The games are so long and grindy that by the time swarm is ready to take over I can protect it.
Small sample size I know, but when they are countering everything else, it's easy for a small green instant to slip through the cracks.
I like most of what ObZen plays.
In theory that's what Brainstorm is for...
I'm hooked. I might make an standard or modern deck again. I love walkers.
Regarding the Skred Control deck, what if the opponent counters or duresses the the Sprout Swarm? It is instant GG, right?
How fragile! I am surprised at by ObZen.
ObZen is one of if not the best pauper deck builder so if you're going to run a deck in pauper, you sure could do worse. =P

No idea why the videos aren't working. They appeared to be linked properly. Anyway, you can get them here:

There seems to be a problem with the videos.
Thanks for the article, some useful ideas I can take away. Had not noticed Harsh Sustenance goes with swarms.
They indeed have great art. Chromium is my favorite.
To me though, getting hung up on something that was used last millennium to describe powerful dragons is a bit of nit picking.
I like the idea that planes can have ancient elder creatures, Tarkir has dragons, Zendikar has eldrazi, and so on.
should it be used every set? Nah.

they have epic casting costs? Doesn't one have an epic upkeep cost to pay? E.very P.rinting I.ncreased C.ollectability (not really accurate anagram).
