I actually think 6-2-2-2 is a pretty good solution. Not perfect (5-3-2-2 would be the best giving 3 to the one losing in the finals but that would probably get messed up with drops) but pretty good. Even for the latest drafts I'd rather have 6-2-2-2 than 4-3-2-2 and Swiss.
It looks like from the way the rules are written that you have to stick to the color id of the clan so in the case of Mardu, Red, White and Black + colorless. Since Abzan Advantage has only one color and that color is legal then the card is legal. However, note that this card won't count toward either the multicolor requirement nor the named requirement.
Knew what the Hungarian March link would lead to. Clicked it anyway. Wasn't disappointed. Somewhat ironically, my deck managed to cheat its singleton Ugin into play early on twice against the same player this week. Agree with your assessment on the whole.

Yea I will be working on doing a bigger tourney with the deck. As for standard I have been tempted to come back and Mono white Devo sounds like a lot of fun. Problem is I think Elspeth and Brimaz would be needed and I just can not justify paying for them on MTGO. Mono black humans seems to get some upgrades though and that deck is still pretty cheap and could be viable.

I know you don't do Standard these days, but that Bolster ability I think plays well with some of the other white cards, both in Dragons and from previous sets. I have an urge to make a mono white devo deck for Standard after Dragons releases. There's Secure the Wastes, one white plus x where x is the number of 1/1 tokens you put on the battlefield. Imagine having devotion mana behind that? It would probably splash a color, like GW devo does, but not at all built like that deck. I'm thinking a red or blue splash.
I thought I saw it during a match, but went back and indeed it was a manifested Nykthos. Of course, when writing I could have just RTFC but where's the fun in that???? But seriously, I need to spend less time writing and more time proofing.
Thanks for the feedback :) I think I figured out the flaw in my previous article series with that aim, and I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll be able to start something similar very shortly.
The main difference would be that I'd release update articles fortnightly, meaning that while the budget would still only be $5 a week, I'd end up with $10 in difference between the articles.
This alleviates some of the pressure that the existence of mythic rares puts on collection building. Most decks have quite a low price ceiling before they're considered complete aside from relatively expensive (but still often reasonably priced) mythic rare options. Picking up a single $3-4 Mythic in the new buys often makes for unexciting reading when it's the majority of a week's purchase, and in this case there'd still be another $6 leftover for additional content.
I know right! Being able to pick up 50-100 staple commons and uncommons for a ticket is incredible. While some are still reasonably expensive, they're the outliers, and if you're looking to build a lot of different shells for decks it's pretty great.

Yeah, block constructed was always a good plan if you'd just gotten into MODO and wanted to build up a collection of cards prior to jumping into Standard on rotation.
It's a shame the block dailies have been removed in the recent event changes, but if they aren't firing I guess it's Wizards' prerogative to do so. I think it'll be even harder to find a game now it's been consigned to the two-man queues alone though.

For KTK pure, would a deck be allowed to use a card with another clan in its name? For example, would a Mardu deck be allowed to use Abzan Advantage?

Have you thought about putting Ghostfire Blade in the first deck? It works well with all that animated artifacts.

when I look at this card I see it's place not in abzan but in a sultai type deck, combo'd with tasigur or the like
