Thanks guys! I'm not as used to the interface and the way I knew about the links didn't work, so I wasn't sure about other options. I'll try that out next time!
Thank you for your helpful thoughts on Thoughtseize. In this case, I will not invest in this card, and I will avoid it like the plague because of the downward trend which may come.
You can easily copy & paste the related card from official Visual Spoilers to your article or paste the URL of the card at plain text editor as a second way.
Thank you very much for your comments. These are just my personal guesses merged with the facts and some intuitions. I can still be so wrong for some cards at my evaluations.
I would expect Thoughtseize to fall to 4.50-5.00 tix range during Theros' rotating out period and slowly recovering to 6.50-7.50 within a year.
As a second scenario, we might see this lowest point at Thoughtseize during MMA 2015 & Magic Origins drafting times and a slightly increased price (5.50-6.00) during rotation.
My advise will be, keep tracking Thoughtseize closely during the Summer period, especially during the MMA 2015 drafts. That time frame might be the lowest for most of the Theros cards (especially, for some mythic & Modern staple rares) rather than the Autumn 2015. Otherwise, %90 of the Theros block rares will hit 0.05 tix range by the end of 2015 year. Innistrad and Return to Ravnica blocks gave us some valuable lessons about how to evaluate the new trends in the rotation out periods. And in that regard, Theros block is very important to prove or designate the general behaviours based on the power level of whole sets. Theros is not a strong block like the previous two and I'm looking forward to see, how will this reflect to redemption frequency.
An easy (but time consuming) fix would be to insert the images of the cards as pictures. Under "Source" there should be an icon to insert/edit images. Copy the URL of the image, size it accordingly and it'll appear in the article.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately card links do not work with sets before they are released so there is no easy way to have card images. I recommend in the meantime that you read the review while looking at the Visual Spoiler, and I will try to find a solution for my next series since this is feedback I heartily agree with.
Great article thanks for taking the time to go through some of your budget decks, with the new pricing structure there's no reason not to buy in loads of cards for next to nothing to try out.
I'm sorry to say but your card reviews didn't leave me any more the wiser on what the cards actually do.
You need pictures or at least a full description of what the cards actually do. As an example the first card Scion of Ugin if you said it was a 4/4 flying dragon spirit for 6 colourless mana and then gave your thoughts about the card it would have been much more useful.
Sorry to be negative but I gave up after the first few cards, hopefully you will add images or descriptions for your next article.
Thank you as always for your helpful analysis. I think you have hit the nail on the head.
May I ask a side question to you: In your opinion, do you think that THOUGHTSEIZE (Khans version) will go up or down after it rotates out of Standard? Supply will be less because it will no longer be drafted, but demand will also be left because most of those players will probably not move into Modern, and might sell them off a couple of weeks post-rotation. Many thanks :)
At the moment Abzan Advantage is a nice little niche card to run in Standard. You can get rid of an enchantment and bolster a dude. Even if they don't have an enchantment to sacrifice you can still bolster a dude in a pinch.
GW Devo is interesting to play, to say the least. I messed around with it for about a week. Not my stele of deck, but I can see how it managed to dominate an unprepared GP Miami.
The spike in popularity will be temporary, as it's a lot less dominant when people are prepared for it and understand how it works. I watched a lot of that GP and read the coverage and saw other folks trying it out in MtGO videos. It's not an easy deck to play, but if your opponent has never seen it they play right into its strengths and lose.
Interesting to see how it fares as the format adjusts for it.
I mean Dragonlord's Prerogative will be Standard legal for 6-7 more months after Dig & Treasure gone. As, Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged sets will rotate out during Spring 2016 and Dragons of Tarkir & Magic Origins is going to rotate out during Autumn 2016.
Just my opinion on your review of Dragonlord's Prerogative since you have said it won't be relevant until Dig and Treasure rotate you might as well said it won't be relevant because they are in the same block. Plus I love the chances of Mirror Mockery in a control deck since you can also cast it on enemy creatures.
You hit the nail on the head, Paul. I used to give Wizards the benefit of the doubt...until I spoke to some WOTC employees in person. Hearing actual WOTC employees vent was somewhat eye-opening to say the least. That and some stuff I've read on glassdoor.com tells me that not everyone there is in love with WOTC management.
In fact, my first clue that WOTC is not Camelot was when I saw people land their dream job there and end up deciding they'd rather flip burgers for a living.
I don't have a problem with people making a decent profit. Magic needs brick-and-mortar establishments. I think it's a bad move to take a product like MMII and decide to gouge people just because it's desirable. I can't support that. That's no different from gas stations who jack up the price of a gallon of gas just because they know people need it and the next gas station is a hundred miles away. As I write this there are two places selling pre-orders on Amazon: one for $360 and one for $370. Want to short circuit some of this? Make boxes available at big box stores.
Anyway, what I write on this site will have zero effect on Wizards. I'm just some cranky old guy who complains. I'm sure they'd prefer that I just drink the Kool-Aid and be happy.
You might have a point about Myth Realized, but its probably only going to be good in Legacy/Vintage and not Modern. Modern is too fast right now for something like that to be any good. Myth Realized needs both mana and time for it to do anything, which means that a grindy format is where it would shine.
I highly doubt that Foul Renewal will ever see a constructed play in Standard. It is just too much conditional and not consistent most of the times. Yes, it can be good in Abzan midrange type decks, yet Utter End is better at that range.
Myth Realized is definitely one of the MUST cards in this set. It is not like Im underestimating its power, but financial value of MTGO cards, especially Standard cards are so fickle. A 1-2 tix card can easily be a 0.01 tix within few weeks. And opposite is also true. I bought my Mastery of the Unseen copies at 0.01 tix during prerelease and sold them around 2 tix/ each at its peak. Now this card is around 1 tix. And it will be 0.05 tix after Theros rotates.
Why I classify Myth Realized as a 0.50 to 0.75 tix card? Because lots of people are underestimating its potential. This was my initial assesment and I can be wrong about it. 1.00 to 1.50 tix value is also fair for this card. But it can also see below 0.50 tix range within next 6 months. All depends on its immediate impact at any of the Standard, Modern or Legacy tournaments.
I am going to say "nay" to Myth Realized bottoming at .5. It is very good in a Narset style deck. Lots of instant speed control cards, Mastery of the Unseen, I suspect it will be a staple Standard card for a long time. I bet it never dips below a tix.
Not getting how you can tap a nykthos for mana and then pick it up with Sabertooth. But love the writing. Keep it coming.

All hail Sinfonia!

I can see it in Splinter Twin. If they have a way to make all your tokens come into play tapped then you can still kill them with Tremors.

Good stuff.
My thought of impact tremors was presence of gond combo going naya

Nah, on the Titanic they said "That little ice cube isn't going to hurt us." LOL
