You're tribal version runs all the expensive ones, but that's completely unnecessary. Save your money and go with the pauper approach. I run 4x of each of the common and uncommon ones in my sneak attack deck. Works just fine. Annilator = Annilator no matter how you look at it.

P.S. I, too, even though the week isn't over, have already retired my Eldrazi Sneak attack deck and have grown extremely tired of seeing them. The only thing that upsets me is that I missed the Prerelease so I didn't get the promo guy and now I can't find one. Anyone got an extra for trade?

About the prizes and profit you can make -

I've thought about it some, and it seems like you need a tier-1 deck in *some* format to make a reliable profit. But at that point, what do you have left to buy? It would be cool if you could build a $200 deck, play it a bunch, learn it, and win often enough with it that not only do you pay for your entry fees, you also profit boosters. Then you could use those boosters to "upgrade" your deck, probably by buying another list entirely. But what seems to happen is this:

- Elves / Charbelcher / budget option #3 goes 4-0, 2-2, 1-2, 3-1, 1-2, 0-2, and leaves you disappointed despite occasionally collecting a prize. Tier-1 decks are still out of your reach, and you're probably no closer to being "Awesome at Magic" than when you started. You'd be closer if you traded your entire deck for a single FoW!

- The tier-1 deck(s) go(es) 3-1, 4-0, 3-1, 1-2, 4-0, 4-0 and gets paid. These guys go and buy foils because they already own everything, they have 700+ tickets in their account, and for some reason selling tickets for cash isn't an option.

Of course, that assumes you're trying to assemble a tier-1 deck through playing. That should be difficult! Two better options are "Get a job" and "trade smarter".

Im not sure I'd go as far as to say disgusting, but it is crazy to see especially when you consider a lot of those players who are consistently winning and playing in events are making lots of profit in the form of packs and thus have foiled out their whole collection, now there's a price check you don't want to see, I personally find jealousy in seeing those kinds of things lol but I don't hold it against them, I think there is plenty of options in Legacy without FoW though I'd want them to do something about a price getting so out of hand (but if the past is an example they wont)

TBH, I will probably never do video game footage and let me tell you why. I type up 99% of my article work while at the office. I usually do my game testing while my wife is working (she is a 3rd shifter), then I post my game results on our clan website to keep track. After I feel I have something worth writing I then access the clan site at work and start typing. I have 3 little boys ages 3, 5, 7 so there really isn't tons of free time at the house to devote to writing. This might sound like an excuse to some, but I honestly do my best writing while I'm away from major distractions. Also I tend to get an idea on an article and then just write it. Take this article for instance. I knew I was going to be writing about dragon stompy in the future, but I wasn't sure when. I thought of the How to train your dragon theme yesterday while at the office and about 3 hours later the article was complete and submitted.

I know I am in the minority, but I really find it disgusting to see those prices. Of course noone forces you to buy the decks, but as a bred and born control and combo player, it really saddens me, that the only true budget options are various aggro, mid-range and subpar combo decks like Dredge. It's not even that I dislike mono or mostly mono coloured decks - I'd love to play Dream Halls or MUC for an example, but it's just not an option as long as FoW is this expensive. It wouldn't even work to actually release the uncommon version as all the hoarders and people that paid a lot for the rare version would of course go bananas. Guess all one can hope for is it to be included in a FtV set or to have a functional reprint sometime (like that's going to happen).

I think relevant data would be appropo. Decks that aren't relevant only serve to entertain those who enjoy reading the play by plays. Probably not a small crowd by the way. But your target audience is probably more spiky than most of the pure readership. The spikes will want relevant data.

Still not sure what exactly you are looking for. Do you want an article showing every matchup from 2mans no matter what deck I am piloting? I posted lots of my 2mans results in these 2 articles, but I've played in other 2mans with different decks like thresh, reanimator, bant and team america. I guess I could take all the results of these 2 mans and start keeping track of any other matches to give people an idea of what I typically face. You will find that the data will be simliar to that of the Meta you report on though. Occassionally you will face a random deck where the person meant to join pauper or something, but I think for the most part the data will resemble that of the Metagame to a certain extent.

I think it'd be a helpful stat for people to know in general what you've faced in 2mans in order to obtain some idea of what the meta is like there, though I'm sure it's much harder to predict

yes I know tourny room isnt a great judge, but I was in there seeing how well affinity ran still (answer not good I faced landstill after landstill and got wrecked by deed) and if eva green could be competitive short a couple cards lol not exactly something I'd put money on
