I'm gonna lead towards format-shaping power level for this list:
1) Bazaar: single-handedly responsible for at least 9.3% of the contents of nearly every competitive deck
2) Leyline of the Void: can you imagine if this card didn't exist
3) Force of Will: similar to 2) the format would be entirely different with no force
4) Mishra's Workshop
5) Fetches/Duals
6) Strip Mine/Wasteland
7) Brainstorm
8) Lion's Eye Diamond
9) Yawgmoth's Will
10) Lodestone Golem
Congratulations on the 4-0! Nice to see things turning around for you in Classic, but unfortunately it's with a deck you despise: Fish! LOL Dripping with irony!
Of course, you beat two Lotus Farmers on your way to the 4-0, so obligatory BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ;op~
Not having listened yet I will venture my list anyway:
5. The mike flores pick seems right on: Falkenrath Marauders. 4. Red ritual???? Ok :D 3. Bloodline Keeper/flip! 2. Essense of the Wild (completely useless for regular play but wow :D Avatars Redux?) 1. Divine Reckoning! Take that Day of Judgment! :D OK so it isn't quite the same thing but still I love this card. There are a ton more that tickle my fancy in one way or another.
It is amusing to me that I was just thinking that ponder/preordain weren't so ubiquitous that they deserved a banning and here is yet another combo deck with them in it. I stand corrected. ;p
we're well aware that ponder and preordain were banned. However while the rest of the world was reading about the bannings, I was the one caught unawares while managing the site. With the news of the bannings, let's just take a while and see what could have been :D
Nice 4-0. Good matchups and even better play than normal (yes this is partially a backhanded compliment!). Your patience was particularly impressive. You made the absolute most out of every card. Stifle, Bob, Trigon Predator were absolutely bonkers on the day.
Thanks for the content Mr. Penguin. That deck from R4 looked very interesting as well.
1. Wasteland
2. Demonic Tutor
3. Force of Will
4. Jace, the Mind Sculptor
5. Tendrils of Agony
6. Yawgmoth's Will
7. Necropotence
8. Crucible of Worlds
9. Strip Mine
10. Hymn to Tourach
I like hard and soft locks or all together uninteractive combo.
Meh, Brainstorm gives you incremental advantage and doesn't win the game or usually shift the game in any ostensibly major way. Ok, sometimes you Brainstorm into an answer, yeah, but do you ever resolve a Tinker and it doesn't wildly effect the game? I can't believe you put it so far ahead of Bazaar, an obviously broken card that Dredge players will mull into oblivion to get and sometimes can win with just that one card in hand. Maybe I'm the one completely wrong, but it seems Workshop and Bazaar – reusable and cornerstones of their respective decks in Classic and Vintage – are far more important, defining and better than Brainstorm.
I had it, but it's just a hyper-efficient selection tool; restrict it (like all the other cards listed more or less) and it's not nearly as powerful as any of the restricted cards we're talkign about.
PS it's not even better than Wasteland or Workshop, who are both unbanned 4-ofs that are absurd. It's just a sick complement to Blue's FoWsenal.
1. Force of Will
2. Mishra's Workshop
3. Bazaar of Baghdad
4. Qasali Pridemage
5. Brainstorm

There's a setting in Camtasia (the program used) to remove the cursor.

Rounds 2 and 3 don't have a pointer. And some of your other videos haven't either. No big deal, I just think it's weird.
I'd go with Telling Time over one of those cards personally, the dig cards don't HAVE to be 1 mana :P
-4 Ponder -4 Preordain +4 Sleight of Hand +4 Serum Visions?

I dont understand
i see the mouse when i watch the videos.
Bad timing with the article - Ponder and Preordain just got banned.
What's with your video program not recording your mouse pointer?
Wow never mind. Rite of Flame is banned. I did not see that coming. I'm soooo glad I sold them at 3 tix each.
Old man was a brilliant addition - pure genius.
Announcement for Masques should be soon
Thanks Joe and Lythand! :D
Good job as always Paul.
Back handed or not, I will accept it. I made a couple of misplays in the vids as well, but overall i had a good day and played pretty well.
GGs sir.
