One irritating error (I just figured out what is happening) should be fixed in play lobby:
When I decide to play a limited tournament, I filter to the type of tourney I am interested in (eg KTKx3) After the tourney, I usually go play some casual games. When I log back in it puts me in the JFF room, but the games listed "remembers" the filter from the limited tourney room and applies it to the constructed open play room. The fix is to go back to limited room and uncheck the filter.
I respectfully disagree with you. The quality of the content has nothing to do with the length of the video. These two games were more informative than any other matches I played with the deck, and there are a lot of important things that you can glean from them.
Also, I don't have access to the decklist anymore. It's dated anyway, so it wouldn't be of much use to you. I discuss the salient differences in the article and the video.
Is it shorter than you expected? Yes. Does that make it bad? Not at all. In fact, I offer more in-depth explanation in this video than a lot of people on this site do in entire video series.
If you came here to watch someone play a bunch of matches of Magic, of course you're disappointed. If you came here to learn and get better, you probably shouldn't be.
I appreciate the feedback; it's always welcome. Other video articles will definitely be longer by nature, but that doesn't mean that this one is worse for being shorter.
Hiring 37 new full positions ? Massive expansion ?
How many are on average employed in that company (like, last 5-10 years) ?
My guess would be less than a 100, but I could be very wrong.
If 500+ people then perhaps the expansion isnt that big afterall.
But again, I have never seen or checked any actual employment numbers for that company.
"As of 2008, the company employs over 300 people - wikipedia."
37 positions within a month of perhaps 350 employed, its big.
I'm sorry - but this is ridiculous. One 20 minute round - shown as a replay - is not good enough. If no one else will say it I will - that's just shoddy work.
Show us a few more examples. Give us your deck list.
First off, thank you for taking the time to build the list and follow up on the progress of things.
Just a couple of things I didn't see and would like added.
1) Multiplayer is still horrid.
2) The client still has the memory leak. If you play over a certain length of time you have to restart the client. It will lag and become unresponsive.
3) I can't sort games based on my buddy list. This is very irritating as sometimes I just want to watch a game.
Finally, why is someone at Wizards not doing this same thing???? Make a list of things they acknowledge as problems and set a priority to them. The most annoying thing about providing Wizards with feedback is the complete unresponsiveness on their part.
It could be the timing. I have noticed the forums are down in the AM more often than at Night. Since I am on the East Coast and they the west it may be a matter of that being the best time for them to do server maintenance. Despite the fact that it inconveniences eastern US and Europe. (Or more darkly, because of that fact.)
OTOH asking the horses mouth (ORC Phage in this case) got the response: Upgrades. So maybe we are getting new and better fori :D We can only hope.
All of the lists that I am playing right now are slowly making their way to legit. It's a long drawn out process, and I really need to be recording for Widisi now, but I keep getting sidetracked by everything else.
I've seen a lot of people say that Scheming is just awful, but I enjoy it, only if I am really in Sultai. I'm not a huge fan of hateblade, for some reason I tend to stay away from one drops, but that guy is very playable.
Assuming you're talking about the RL VMA draft at Worlds this year, I saw a post somewhere (reddit I think) saying that they're borrowing the cards from the collections of WotC employees and L5 judges.
Good cast always guys. Better than some in fact. (My last one got almost no listens/views :p). I'd like to see a PW version of Sissay if that doesn't violate canon some how. Also Volrath of course and probably Gerard too.
Freyalesse being a pw is just sad imho. Josh please provide lists for all these amazing decks. :D Also wow about the Vintage offline. I expect they have a stock of cards set aside from the secondary market left over from Zen Hidden Treasure packs that they are using for this. Thus expect the power to have play on them.
Also a question for AJ about FFTR. Any chance we will be hearing form Seb and Keya again any time soon?
You seem to value Shambling Attendants Higher than me and not value Mardu Hateblade at all. You also seem not to value Taigam's Scheming; It helps to look at the top 5 of your library to manipulate your draw order and also pitch extra lands and other outclassed cards to help along delve.
After taking the invocation, I would have looked harder at the Rotting Mastodon harder.
I did record the tournament with Treasure Cruise which I 4-0ed and posted the videos on youtube. In that entire tournament I only cast Cruise in one game and was siding it out in most match-ups. I then slightly changed the deck by lowering the Cruises to three for another mulldrifter, and preceded to go 0-3 the next day. I do like the idea of added some blue to the deck and had been thinking about it for a long time because Mulldrifter is one of the best cards in pauper, Ghostly Flicker has great synergy with all of the 187 creatures, and Cruise is such a good card that is warping all formats and is responsible for the $15 loss in Goyf's value. I will be tinkering with B/u for a while to try and find the optimal version. After I have a version that I think is worthy of an article, I'll probably write one.
Thanks, really appreciate the feedback. I too like that I can write about a relatively under-explored/talked about format, I hope it starts to pick up a bit more steam thought because already I see block daily events not firing which is a worrying sign so soon in the format's life. There's some crazy decks out there though, this week's article should be an interesting one :).
I'm so pleased you did this article; I've shamelessly netdecked you for a while!
I saw your results with splashing Blue for Treasure Cruise this past weekend and wondered if you might do a write up for that deck?
I made my own copy of your deck (shamelessly) and hit the tournament practice rooms. I liked it quite a bit, but I felt like I wasn't filling my yard up quickly enough to take advantage of Treasure Cruise.
I do want to, but I have my son this weekend, and we are going to do do halloween stuff!

Are you gonna head down to Nashville for the Grand Prix?
You know you want to...

I have to agree with Zach here.

Being a blue based mage myself, I always like to have one scheming and one disdainful stroke in my 40

WotC forums seems to be down for days these days. Whats happening ?
Not sure about the veracity of everything in it but this seems pretty comprehensive.

Would anyone happen to have any decent overview articles or synopses links on GamerGate for those of us who have been living under a rock?
I'd like to see A PW version of Baron Sengir, Tourach, Kamahl, Arcanis, Memnarch, Gerrard and Dackon Blackblade.

Talking about corner cases, I was milled out via 2 back to back sign in blood in a daily this past weekend after an MBCu control mirror went wrong.
Yes, if I draw them late.
Have you ever used your Sign in Bloods to burn your opponent out?
