Thanks, for a good breakdown of what the new extended is like, its not something I play at present but always good to get an idea just in case I decide to start.
I noticed that you use the same "Storm" name for both the old ritual based grapeshot deck and the new UG Twiddlestorm variations. You should really differentiate between them as those are really different decks...
glad you added something - clarification as to counters.
but again, comments regarding your own value and inability to purchase mtgo products add nothing to the conversation. it just seems like you constantly whine. and frankly, it's just embarassing to see that you are a grown man and still whining about how you cant afford X or Y. :/
again, comments that add nothing to the discussion aside from the fact that you are poor and can't afford it. everyone knows that you can't buy any of the cards that wotc puts out. we get the point.
You don't even have to hit F6. Easiest way to deal with Soul Warden and Ajani Pridemate triggers is when it is on the stack, instead of clicking okay, right click and select the first option. It will bypass it everytime for the rest of the game from that particular copy of the card. F3 at anypoint will remove all these bypasses in case you want to respond.
Linvala isn't even in this deck. Linvala has become key in disrupting Naya decks aside from the norm of Cunning Sparkmage. That is, Linvala is being run as a singleton for Fauna Shaman in aforementioned Naya decks and also Mythic decks (particularly the U.S. National Champion's decklist which had 4 Linvala in the sideboard [Mythic]) Of course, being a mythic rare impacts this moreso. Conley's deck does not play any.
Finally a good Extended breakdown. Thank you! This is my favorite format (new extended, not old) because I started with Lorwynn and I can play basically all of my cards. I'm really looking forward to the next article. Hopefully some non-time spiral based combos or my personal favorite, Prowl Aggro.
that deck has become such an annoyance to play online, i just pretty much back out when i see it, for one reason only...the matches take so long because of all the triggered abilities that take place from a million soul wardens and pridemates on the field. Even though u f6 through that crap its still a pain in the butt. If this is what casual MTGO has turned into then its sad sad times. I love running my destructive force deck on these decks, it just wipes out all those little weenies and bye bye.
My issue with FTV is that I'm a sucker for classic card frames, and don't much care for new arts. The only cards in the package that I care about (Read: That I don't have) Are Mox Diamond, Memory Jar, Nev's Disk and of course Sol Ring. The first three value at 29 tix currently, so I think the individual selling price of Sol Ring will make of break the purchase for me.
Typically WWW is used as an extra host header so not usually necessary but some sites are defined solely with that so if you type the domain without it, you get a 404 error.
I am not sure myself, but someone said a nationals deck did really good with a deck build simular to the one lumbydan posted. Abusing ranger of eos of course.
Must you say "www." over and over at the beginning like that? I mean, is that even required anymore when you input an address? lol.. Just a minor suggestion, nothing more.
The thing with the Shuffler is you get actual randomization (A real word?). In paper, tehre isnt 100% true randomization. It all depends on the amount of times you shuffle your deck and how your deck ended up before you started playing. Take for example a player who mana weaves his deck and then shuffles a bunch of times. The chances of him getting a large pocket of mana or spells is still unlikely compared to the guy who just finished a game, piled all his lands up, stuck them on the bottom, and started to shuffle. The shuffler sucks but I see it happen to my opponent as well so I know it's not just me.
I came down to comment, but i was going to say exactly the same thing as themonkey. ext may not have been healthy in terms of tourney players, but it was an extremely popular format for casual players. its now basically dead, with the majority of players in the casual room not playing ext anymore at all and a large percentage of the ones that are still playing it are just playing lorwyn tribal decks. The ext change ended up doing the opposite of what wotc said it was supposed to do, which was have more players playing ext.
Looking at the list above I was really debating getting this set as most of the cards are online, the new Sword will be in October and Sol Ring in December. Which leaves Masticore which will be online next year.
But I'm really having problems getting over how good the new Mox Diamond and Sol Ring art is and I think Mike Bierek has swayed me as I keep scrolling up to see it.
Edit: And now I've gone into deck list overdrive, looking at what cards can be cast on turn one with help of Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Lotus Petal, Tolarian Academy and Mox Diamond although I may need a second!
I have been playing a white weenie lifegain since M11 came out. I got all my Serra Ascendants for under 2 tix. My version uses Ajani Goldmane instead of Elspeth (because I am cheap, not becuase it is better). It is a fun deck to play.

Linvala was in Conley's sideboard to deal with Mythic and Naya as a 2 of.

great job covering the format and pricier pauper commons.
as always, well-written and visually-striking article.
as much as i'm a spike, i love a little rogue flavor.
appreciate your articles here.

Great article. What are your thought on Yavimaya Elder? I've been trying to find a home for him in a pauper deck, but have not made much of it.

I agree. Best one yet. Keep up the good work

Yes, ranger is another card I have been seeing in a lot of builds. Totally forgot about that one. Good call.
How you can talk about Sol Ring without mentionning Zvi's "Top 50 artifacts" article up on the mothership is beyond me.

Sol Ring: better than any Mox
In other news, this was a pretty good article.
I think onces Lorwyn block rotates out extended will pick back up.

Another excellent draft walkthrough. Picks were spot on with mine, so no real problems in that area. Great Job.
