well surprisingly zombies and wizards can also easily hate out this deck just by running yixlid jailer especially with the zero removal in the deck.some wizard builds can also run rlic or tormods crypt as a tutorable singleton with trinket mage

Simple: Stuff a de-boned chicken, then stick that in a de-boned duck. Stuff the gaps and shove it in a partially de-boned turkey. Stuff the gaps again and roast.
Usually it is better to just mail-order it and stick it in the oven.
I think first of all there is plenty of control in the format...counters maybe not so much but then dredge type decks are immune to counters anyway really. Oh you counter my spell? great its where I wanted it in the first place. That said, if a deck like ichorimp is dominant then it warps the format. If the format demands people run hate main deck for one single deck it is no longer really playable. The lack of sideboard makes it harsher to run such decks than formats like 100s where combos are semi-mitigated by draw and by the potential to sideboard in hate where needed.
It's the cornerstone of a fantastic deck by Conley Woods entitled "Magical Christmas Land". The economic breakdown of Mythics makes it so that any shift in prices is fast and extreme, so a new deck abusing a Mythic will often bring with it a $10 price swing. The converse is usually true as well... with Baneslayer surging and shrinking $10 in a matter of weeks.
I will delete or edit a post that is attacking my writers for no good reason.
Now, I'm human, I know what the difference is between harsh criticism and flaming is, what that guy said was flaming. You do not come here and disrespect a writer that 1. Is well respected within the magic community 2. Has written longer than some of you have been alive and 3. did nothing to deserve this attack.
I am fine with harsh words being said, as a writer one must have a thicker skin, but this is garbage.
I liked FMIALC's deck and wished more player would become creative like that to make an insane deck that could fight at a level to beat it would be hard to find but it is possible. Still with lettle control in the format Combo will run rampaid untill some one wises up. I think a new deck will show up in a coulpe of weeks once I get Barbarians going.
Lotus Cobra while it does have its place and can be amazing it just lacks any sort of staying power. If they had included shroud then it would be worth 21 dollars. In my eyes though it remains a variant of birds of paradise which requires insane draws to be truly game breaking.
lol i tend to prefer the fighter allies which in honor of conley woods I have now named Magical Christmas Friends. Though all it takes is a simple mana issue to totally wreck the deck as it sits now. Allies while by themselves cheap definitely require an expensive manabase. Unfortunately Ondu Cleric is not good enough or guaranteed to live long enough to abuse the painlands from tenth edition.
I am guessing people still think it is going to be bomb worthy and it is hard enough to get now that the price rises. As more people let it go the price will drop again. (Cf FoW and Baneslayer, though the former was inflated due to speculators.)
I disagree a little bit here. I think commentary aimed at improving an artist or writer's approach is well worth it and I bet Pete would welcome such as much as I do.
On the other hand as you said we are nonpaying consumers. (Though I am hoping the readers here do support mtgotraders so that the site continues being a quality place for casual tech.)
The problem is I think, the easy accessibility of the ability to comment anonymously. This means at little cost (seconds of time) anyone can channel their inner idiot for the public to read. Something to slow down the process besides the spam guard captcha would be good.
@Shard no doubt. I believe in credit where it's due.
@Giraffe you always have cunning ideas. Some of them really suck. To face. Still stinging from our last matches the other day.
So far I am completely unimpressed with Tribal Allies though I have enjoyed them at times. They seem to fold to bad draws regularly. No come back from shuffler screw. I prefer decks that can deal with being totally hosed and still put up a fight. On the other hand I am not a fan of the "fighter" allies which are the weenies that survive bad draws. I am working on the list still but to randomly lose because you failed to draw a land or drew all land is just too annoying for words. And I believe very firmly if you experience that a lot it is because of your deck build. The shuffler is just a probability machine.
Heya, always ensure I read this article each week - great work, keep it up!
I was eagerly awaiting the info on what has driven then price of Lotus Cobra up within the past week to $24.00? A $10.00 jump is incredibly significant for any card, thought it was worth a mention?
hopefully next week the drawer will be on my side, but i have a new idea quite strange. not quite finished it yet though so i hope its ready for next week

Is that a 3 bird combo? :P Need better draw to get to go off in time for dinner if so.

It really grinds my gears that mouthbreathers with nothing worth a crap to say get to say stuff freely.
doesn't matter, I'm looking for a tasty treat to cover his garbage post up with.
lol
I'd settle for a report post button. Or just restrict to registered members, as has long been considered.

lol it should have a narrator that reads your post back to you, just so trolls can hear how idiotic their posts sound.

Yes but constructive is different from trolling, baiting and critique by whom? no fee paying non subscribers is as good as, well nothing.
I have a cunning new idea for next week as well : )
pretty sure this is an open forum. speak your mind whether it's criticism or praise.
