I have a 5 color Sliver Aggro deck that I love. It's actually all Slivers and land. It's a blast to play because you never know what you will wind up with. It could be giant slivers, or shadow slivers, or mana generating slivers, it's a blast. There's nothing like having 8 or so slivers out and then brining out Commander Sliver Legion and hitting somebody for a lot of damage. You are right that almost every game with this deck is me vs everyone and wrath effects are just about impossible to bounce back from.

If it's a flame war you other "gentleman" are looking to induce, you should look somewhere else. I feel as if Whiffy is trying to give criticism in order to improve the site. There is some honour in that, though the point about this being an introduction has been largely missed. Granted, the lack of eloquence in response is far from improving.
Country Hillbilly comes off as a Maury Pauvich contestant, and if my articles do prove helpful, ideally he'll be too busy trying to start a ruckus to get any value out of them.
Patrick "Trick" Jerret of Manantion actually got to go to a preview of tactics. He explained as, Westane did, that it is not a Magic game. It's a tactics game using the Magic theme. If you're comming into this thinking your playing traditional Magic the Gathering, you will be dissapointed. I went into the game with this belief and it has made the experience better for me. I don't think it was inteneded to compete with MTGO, but to supliment a crowd who doesn't sling cards, and rather likes Real time strategy or tactical games.
The only real issues I have is the fact it is a money sink, No tradability between players, and the lag.
I'm actually really looking forward to this series.
I would suggest you dress up the presentation though. Try and be as professional as possible!
Changing your picture would probably go a long way to helping your cause. Leave the booze in the fridge, the fish in the lake, and the trash-talking on the playground. Nobody here gives a shit how much you've won, or how good you think you are. We just want to know how to maximize our investment in this game - which is the direction your series should definitely go. Think content and quality above everything else.

Write articles for PureMTGO and hope Heath and JX don't pay enough attention to the fact there is no content in them. Spend credits to buy cards to sell to other bots, use tickets to get cards you need.

Not only that, the peacocking that went into the following quote sent my blood boiling, look at it closely:

This line says: I am the best player online, no one is competition and I rule. Celebrate me.
I know I might seem abrasive, and I quite possibly am pretty abrasive, but I am fair. If he had ANY content in the article I wouldn't have written anything. Keep in mind I kept my mouth closed after the first article, a second empty shell was just too much.

I have a knack for saying exactly what I feel, and at this point I feel you are a dime-a-dozen internet 'pr0' who is more intent on telling everyone how good you are than actually proving it (like winning a mocs for example)
Have you read lsv? I do not like the guy much, same with ffreak (sp.), but they both have my respect because they are GOOD players who write without offending the reader. Although there is obviously a huge descrepency between their skill and the reader's, they do not come off as abrasive or egomaniacal. You, on the other hand, come across as the sort of guy I would love to meet at a bar after a few beers.

While there is obviously no actual content on the article, give the guy a break. Some of the responses here have been really cut-throat and I pretty much doubt they're doing anything for this guy's motivation to write for the site. There's no call for the sort of aggressiveness we've seen in some comments. Talk about fostering a friendly environment for writers...

An addition to the roster of writers at PureMTGO is to be welcomed - these people are taking their time and writing for no cost to you and me.
You guys need theme music. something peppy that is about magic in some way. I don't know if any songs have ever been written about MTG, but this as good as a cause as you're going to get for the need for a mtg song. Great show as always, but yeah keya you gotta back away from that mic.

Agree about Jace, however I only own 3 on paper and that is all I will be able to use come Feb 5th. Also agree with smother, but the new spoiled go for the throat from beseiged will be making its place in the maindeck over smother for sure. I might even go down to 1 doom blade in that spot.

Keep up the good work guys - I am guessing there are heaps of people that listen and enjoy this week in week out but who never take the time to drop a little note to tell you how much they appreciate the service.
If they remade Shandalar I would play it so much my eyes would bleed. Last year I got a new PC, which (unfortunately?) is too good to run the old Shandalar/Duels of the planeswalkers. Otherwise I would still be playing that now. It was so much fun.
It would be nice if we could be a bit more civil and the articles\reply's contain less personal snipes at people. I though you were way off base in your last article calling a player (by screen name) an ass hat.
You articles are coming off more "hey look at me" than actually containing information. Just my $.02!
im a harsh critic and seeing people give you 5's, well it was a poor article and didnt deserve it. maybe im harsh but you will either try harder for the next one or you wont.
While Whiffy has a tendency to shoot first and be a bit harsh I have to agree with his assessment in general. I was expecting content and instead see a summary of what is to come. I think that is fine if you provide some meat but here I think you fell short a bit. I don't necessarily think as Whiffy suggests that you are milking the system (bitter words no doubt) but it does seem rather poorly done. Also please don't take this as negative criticism because I am only commenting to let you know there is something here you can fix in future articles. Keep writing and keep informing us.

I can think of no other song that makes me think of Magic The Gathering more than B.O.B Feat.Rivers Cuomo - Magic. The Chorus is perfect!

i work really hard to entertain and enlighten people in my articles, as do most other writers.
why does this guy get a free pass? his article was poor and unless people tell him harshly or not well then they will continue to be poor.

I just got a new comp so I am trying work out some kinks with doing the podcast on it. I will try and get things fixed for next week.
